NOTE: After a change in production management and manufacturing venue we are happy to say we have our Nvelope mailbox back in stock and ready to ship! Below is a little background on the steps we recently traveled on our way to what is certainly our best Nvelope mailbox yet...
• UPDATE March 1, 2010: Two design & production meetings last week. Results?
A) We are adding 3/4" to the interior depth of the Nvelope. Change in exterior appearance will be subtle. B) We have completed the design & production specs for a locking inner security lid that can be retro-actively ordered & installed by owners of the new mailbox.
• UPDATE October 9, 2010: Several draws & tweaks later we have finalized the beta, and yes, we'll be running a prototype as soon as we get to the front of the line. Why is there a line? Among other products, our Canadian shop makes enclosures for some of the finest handmade in the USA stereo amplifiers. The enclosure business is brisk, but getting the Nvelope™ out before Christmas is our make it or break it deadline.
• UPDATE January 11, 2011: We ran what was to be the final prototype on December 22nd but had a few issues to address. As of today, those details have been resolved. The Nvelope mailbox is currently overnighting its way south to Florida for one final level of quality control (QC) inspections by our design partners there, and then photography on the Gulf Coast. If QC passes, we produce and ship as quickly as possible. More news as the inspections finish.
• UPDATE January 31, 2011: Yay! All clear from QC inspections! Minor tweaks were applied to CNC drawings and then we proceeded straight into production. A few photos of the final beta prototype have been uploaded to the Gallery (link at left or here). Boxes should ship on or before Valentine's Day. Stay tuned!
• UPDATE March 28, 2011: We have shipped out half of our production run and are now open for selling to the general public (more specifically, to those who have not been on our very long waiting list for what seemed like forever)

Retailers continue to restock, saying the Nvelope's obvious benefits help the mailbox sell itself. (10-Oct-10: Initial sales of beta release for late 2010 will not be through retailers, but direct from this site. Site upgrades are imminent, to make the purchase process a breeze. We may also add alternate payment methods including Amazon and Google checkout, to complement our existing in-house credit card processing and of course our long time partner PayPal).
